We encounter a troublesome problem when some engineering softwares are installed on a Windows system with a user folder named by Chinese. Albeit there is a direct way to solve this problem by reinstalling OS, when your help seeker is not with you in the space and VNC is the only way to connect her computer, we can do is just to have a try to change the folder's name in other ways.

.open the account "Administrator" in "Local users and groups" of administration option of "This Computer".

.logout current account and login the account "Administrator"

.change the value of "ProfileImagePath" in regedit from "C:\Users\李昕" to "C:\Users\lixin", the location is:

\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList\S-1-5-21-2267152430-3810734935-1113280261-1001

.change the Chinese name of user folder to a new composed of letters, e.g. "lixin", and rename the "李昕" with "lixin" in "Local users and groups" of administration option of "This Computer".

.logout current account and login the original account

.rewrite the environment variables and replace the "李昕" with "lixin" in these paths.

.restore the setting of "disable the account of administrators" in "Local users and groups" of administration option of "This Computer".

.reboot
